UTH offers a bright and creative environment for artists of all ages and abilities.  Along with open studio time, we offer pottery parties suitable for any occasion, party in a "pot," a great to-go option, and even welcome field trips.  Scroll down for more information on these great services.  

 
PRICING

Paint-your-own pottery pieces start as low as $2.00 each.

We have numerous seasonal and everyday items ready to paint. In addition, we have a digital catalog, organized by season or use, with over 500 ceramic pieces that can be custom made for your use. Since we only fire the kiln when it is full, we require a 2 week turnaround for a special requested item.

For your convenience, UTH offers 2 ways to finish your ceramic item:

1. Acrylic paints and spray - this option provides instant gratification. Once the piece is painted and sprayed it may be immediately taken home. This is a great option for busy children.  A studio fee of 1/3 your ceramic item will provide you with unlimited time, paint, and spray to finish your piece.  (ex. ceramic piece costs $6.00, the studio fee is $2.00)

2. Glaze - this option requires a 1 to 2 week turnaround for firing. Once the item is "painted" with glaze, UTH will fire the piece. This is a perfect option for all ceramics and it is required for all food usage items. Our glazes are lead-free and food safe.  A studio fee of 1/2 your ceramic item will provide you with unlimited time and glaze to finish your piece.  This fee also includes the firing.   (ex. ceramic piece costs $6.00, the studio fee is $3.00)

POTTERY PARTY
We take reservations for groups with a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 10 artists. Adult supervision is required for all junior birthday parties. There is no fee for the supervising adult unless they participate in the activity.

All parties are 1 ½ hours long, which includes time for painting and serving any food you would like to bring. So BYOS (Bring your own snacks/party food.) Generally, 1 ½ hours is long enough for all activities; however, you may extend the party time by a half hour for an additional $15 if there is not a party booked after yours (extra time should be requested at the original booking date).

A UTH employee will be happy to help you set up, serve, help your guests and pack up. We are here to help in any way that we can. Even the cleaning is on us! 10% gratuity is NOT included; however, it is appreciated.

You can plan to have each artist choose their own piece, or you can pre-select pieces. To allow time for UTH to create your pieces, 3 weeks advance notice is required unless it is a stocked item.

The party girl or boy will receive a special pottery birthday present to encourage their continued love of art.

PARTY IN A "POT" (to-go option)

Are you having a small party? Do you need a different type of party activity? Maybe you just cannot make it to the studio. Our Party in a "Pot" is an excellent to-go option for all types of events.

You can plan to have each artist choose their own piece, or you can pre-select pieces. To allow time for UTH to create your pieces, 3 weeks advance notice is required. A minimum of 3 artists required.

Cost per painter:

•  ACRYLIC FINISH ONLY.  (Freshly glazed pieces do not travel well.) 

 

 

• $7.00 plus the cost of the ceramic piece. Each artist will receive a standard classroom paint brush and 5 paints (red, yellow, blue, black, and white)

 

 

 

A non-refundable $10 deposit is required at the time of booking; we do not hold spots without the deposit. The deposit will be credited the day of your party pick-up.

Do you need additional supplies? For a nominal deposit of $20.00 per every 8 artists, you can borrow our "house" items:

                    - Numerous types of studio brushes (detail, wide, angled)
                    - Paint Mats
                    - Paint Cups
                    - Sponges

When all items are returned in good condition, you will get your deposit back; however, if items are damaged, or missing, the deposit will be kept to aid in supply replacement.

 FIELD TRIP

UTH is happy to bring art to the lives of children.  We encourage field trips with 20 children or less.  (For large groups, UTH will come to you.  Contact us for further details.) 

All school students, attending with a field trip, will receive $2.00 off of the standard fees.  The discounted prices are listed below.

Adult supervision is required. There is no fee for the supervising adult unless they participate in the activity.

 

All field trips are 1 ½ hours long, which will include a tour of the pottery and time to paint a ceramic piece.
